This is the Clickswitch's predecessor: a translucent ring in the plug's centre allows the user to visually confirm whether the prongs are aligned or unaligned, and therefore on or off, respectively.

Along with Glowworm, Upstream was a preliminary proposal from which Clickswitch evolved. The idea of Upstream is a fish-shaped plug whose tail tail can be safely handled by children.

"Clickswitch" is a design safety exercise in which I rendered the domestic plug more intuitive for children and the elderly by allowing it to be turned on and off at the level of the plug and wall.
