Toolkit for mobile journalists
We collected tools for journalists to create and submit stories from the field using their phones. It included software for sending the stories, wireless keyboard, microphone, tripod and solar charger.
I organized a user trial with Reuters to see how they work on the field and to collect requirements for phone-based system. 8 Reuters text, video and photo journalists used the toolkit in US, UK, Afganistan & Senegal. We collected their feedback with interviews and I shadowed one of them for 3 days when making stories in Edinburgh TV festival.
The results were used for defining the future versions of the toolkit and the trial was covered by several medias like the Guardian, Engadget and Cnet:
