Web service for browsing one's content with the help of contextual data recorded by the phone

Requirements were specified based on the literature on user-generated content. Grouping the content automatically to events and finding the optimal balance regarding the privacy were the main identified requirements.

Three UX experts created the first designs and an outside agency was used for the final detailed designs. I was leading both phases.

On timeline view, the user’s own content (with grey) on the left is displayed with the content from friends. The friends’ lines are drawn close to the user’s line when they have been geographically close. This groups automatically the images from an event all 3 participated.

The items are visualized on the map as well. The piles of content highlight the areas the user spends his time.

In collaboration with local university, I made a 2.5 month field trial to gather learnings related to life logging. We published the results in CHI conference.
