Low pressure die cast tool - A sample part and 2D drawing was provided. I took measurements from this and modeled the part. From the model of the body, a model of the internal cavity was created and a corebox was designed. This image shows the tooling created for our in-house die casting machine including ejection and machine mounting brackets and parts. The machine parts were modelled during a quiet week in between jobs and have proven invaluable and reduced rework and set up time of dies significantly.
