How do you ensure that expectations of function are met through a truly beautiful design? With many mp4 players on the market continuing to progress in embedded technology, the exterior and user interface can suffer as a result. We set to task to overcome this issue with manufacturability as the key consideration within the design stage.
solution
Through analysing the market and the required internal component structure, concepts emerged which represented a well considered suitability for manufacture. The way in which the user would interact with the product was investigated through ergonomic testing and evaluation, with final design detailing ensuring the controls were both functional and elegant, we identified a suitable market within car entertainment to tailor the products to, as through the use of rear seat screens and driver visual displays, the mp4 player could act as a control device to stream media.
