Calphalon Blender Future Concept
Problem: Current blenders have several parts making assembly and cleaning a hassle for users. Many will operate without a cover, making them unsafe.
Solution: This blender concept uses a touch interface and magnetic drive.
Impact: There are less parts and buttons to complicate cleaning and assembly. The touch interface makes it possible to shut off the blender when a utensil or hand enters the jar.
Brief: Calphalon asked us individually to create designs that explore the future of blenders. I looked into magnetic drives and Disney’s Touché technology as a way to solve problems with blender safety, cleaning and assembly.
