iSphere - The iSphere was the most successful design for the iPod series of products for TSI. Using a spherical shape as the basic form made for a rigid structure that worked well with the higher power neodymium drivers and 3-inch rear subwoofer. The compact sphere has a great internal volume while carving out the top made a perfect nest to support iPods and other MP3 players.
A variety of table top and juvenile-targeted iPod projects were developed between 2004 - 2008. The iBear and Jukebox projects incorporated LED rhythm light systems to provide an extra element of interaction.
iTower Concept Projects. Industrial Design, Concept Development, 2007-2008. For the iPod series of audio product offerings, size versus sound quality was a new challenge to take on. Looking to develop new and unique takes on sound systems the concept of the tower speaker was looked at in both stand alone “pseudo stereo” delayed output sound design, and stereo paired sets. The overall goal was unique looks with minimum space impact and bigger sound. Most of the designs looked to use metal extrusion enclosures bent and matched to plastic assemblies to achieve a high quality appearance and build. Added audio features using neodymium heavy magnet mini speakers for high level output and miniaturized sub woofer packages were worked into the shells and a variety of metal and plastic cloth materials were considered for the speaker facing. Overall, the main focus of the design was to make the iPod the focus set atop the audio pedestal.
SPARC Charging Base. Concept, Industrial Design, Project Development, 2007-2008. With the increasing popularity of multi phone and iPod households, the charging station concept was taking hold and several concepts were developed for review. The Apple-centric aluminum charging stand went forward into development using a new tacky TPE surface support for holding virtually anything without slipping. Supporting up to four USB devices with a center-mounted charging spine, the rear of the unit has four cord minders keeping the presentation clean.

iPod Series LIneup.

Industrial Design, Project Development & Management, 2004 - 2008.

With the growing popularity of the iPod and new iPhone, the task was to work up more than a dozen docking projects over a four year period, from modifying existing audio gear to full-on new conceived designs for middle-end market to kitchy child-appealing projects. Much of the design team's work was in developing a quick understanding of audio design and engineering while working out new appearances and applications for the design line of iPod/iPhone audio gear.
