Series Concepts & Beyond: Electrostatic and Hybrid Air Purification 2006-2008
A good portion of design time was allotted to conceptual development of next generation air purifiers into 2010 and beyond. Much centered around the size/volume and functional makeup of the potential new series, as well as room placement and airflow design. From table top to floor standing dozens of ideas were visualized with the more important concepts shown here. What was to be the 2008 Aer Sereis of products grew from these concepts as we developed electrostatic capture and fan-driven technology combinations with new concepts. Various features and component elements were considered including electro-capacitive touch controls, backlit and/or LED-illuminted controls and features, replaceable and/or washable filtration media, fan-driven systems, electrostatic collection grids, low-static plastics, fabrics (non-wovens), and catalyst-coated plastics and metals.
