Rain and Safety / C-Through / Motorcycle Rain Helmet
The motorcyclist’s helmet, C-through, is the result of a research conducted during the class “Design Lab II” by the Professor Alex Lobos, at the MFA in Industrial Design from RIT in April of 2014. Each group of students got an element assigned (water, fire, earth or air) and they should determine a situation where that element would endanger people’s life. The design group composed by the students Yolegmma Marquez, Patricio Corvalan, Kunzhao Wu, and Ratchanon Keawmanee, worked with Water. The situation chosen by the group was “LACK OF VISIBILITY CAUSED BY HEAVY RAIN WHILE DRIVING MOTORCYCLES”. They found that according to the (MSF Motorcycle Safety Foundation, 1999) there are some rules to ride safely.
