We are the Selfie Generation
I've been learning how to work the jacquard loom this Spring semester where we create bitmap files on Photoshop that can be transferred into the jacquard loom to create weavings. This is a conceptual project that brings up the topic of selfies. On one side we see narcissism, egocentrics, and empty self promotion and another is of empowerment, self love, and self healing. This art project opens up discussion further into the negative and positive aspects of our self indulging digital culture.
