This Small Office Telco Recorder was designed with extruded aluminum case and rubber feet, and can be used horizontally or vertically to minimize desktop footprint. The extrusion creates a perception of value, a rugged container for the delicate interior components, and a heat-sink to maintain proper operating temperature without a fan.
A Portable digital recorder, the Walkabout Trek has an easy-to-use slide control, and creates digital audio files for fast distribution through a network. This well designed high-quality product, along with premium branding, allowed the Corporation to effectively achieve a 30-50% competitive price premium in their markets.
The Boomerang PC Dictation System is an ergonomic handmicrophone with a professional slideswitch for more intuitive dictation control.
The Walkabout Express Digital Portable is a physician recorder with snap-on modules that "attach" a patient ID code to the recording via a barcode scan or keypad. Completed dictation is sent to a remote voice server within the hospital or clinic via IRDA transfer within a download/charging station.
This desktop dictation workstation is named Connexions II due to its innovative use of modular components to configure the unit differently for multiple applications. It allows for physician and executive dictation through a familiar telephone paradigm into a centralized voice server. Unique features are a large adjustable multifunction LCD and PC card interface. Handset utilized fingertip controls for reviewing dictation prior to completion.
The "Executive PC" project goal was to imagine the future of desktop computing, and won an IDEA Gold award, where it was described by juror as 'Desktop Jewelry'. The project was a collaboration with Cousins Design in NY.
