The Najad Beacon is a vision of a future sailing experience; a project done in collaboration between the Umeå Institute of Design and Najad.
This project won 1st Prize for Technological Innovation for the Targa Rodolfo Bonetto Yacht Design Award, presented at the SeaTec Conference in Marina di Carrara Italy, February 2011.
At 15m, this concept is the flagship of the Najad brand, using Scandinavian design to achieve a balance of simplicity and functionality. A unique living experience is created with the transparent transom, using inset glazing to let in lots of natural light. Topside, the innovative deck layout separates the helm from passenger seating, keeping family and friends safe while giving the captain control and confidence of dual aft helms.
