Ideal Standard
During the first half of my Second year, we were delivered our very first 'Live Brief'. Ideal Standard approached us with the task of designing a new tap.
They were interested in the lack of uptake of single lever taps in the UK, where they are virtually non-existent. In Europe however, they are the consumer favourite.
I set out to create a dual lever tap, in a single handed solution. I felt that the main reason the taps were struggling in the UK was the lack of definition between the functions (heat and flow)
Aperture keeps heat and flow setting separate, but with all the styling's of a single handed product.
