The project specification here was to design a solenoid operated piston pump with reference to the Gotec EMX 08 pump. The designed piston pump was required to deliver the following requirements and specifications:

Be insensitive to variations in manufacturing processes and robust against variations in operational environment.

Required Specifications:
Optimum Flow Rate: 0.50 litres/min
Flow Rate Tolerance: +/-0.05 litres/min
Piston Frequency: ~ 50Hz
