In 2015 Gush Creative manufactured and installed a 6 x 6 m expo for Convoy International. The units were designed by Harman / Kardon's own Singapore based designer.
At Gush I was responsible for re-drawing and detailing the design for local production. Overseas similar units had be made with laminate finishes. For this project I knew that a painted finish would be more suitable for the Australian market due to the higher perceived value. (Think laminate kitchen vs two pack painted kitchen)
The units were then detailed in a mixture of painted MDF and pre laminated board. The construction was carried in Australia.
The LED lighting for these units was extensive and was specified by myself and sourced as a kit from our China based supplier.
The intention of this display was to be able to reuse the fixtures after the event in a Harvey Norman store. This allowed quality finishes to be used in an exhibition environment where all too frequently the display is discarded after the event.
