BEFORE - The old system had worked well, but was just old. It was no longer secure. It no longer complied with CANN-SPAM laws, and perhaps worst of all, it was not able to generate mobile-friendly emails. It required a needlessly difficult workflow. It also offered no analytics on open rates and click-through.
AFTER - The new system is far superior. Press releases are created right on our WordPress site, as a custom post. Everything is automatic after that, thanks to the MailChimp API. Right from the post creation page, with one click, beautiful mobile-friendly mass emails can be sent to various distribution groups. We have precise control over timing. It’s all done on one web page. And we have extensive analytics of course!
