The final project in one of my typography courses was to design a book with the loose theme of “where does type come from?â€. I opted to design a series of flashcards that display each letterform in the alphabet as an animal that starts with the same letter. I hand-drew each letter in the style of an antique illustrated field-guide. The cards are meant to be used to teach children the letters of the alphabet.
