The Wild Duck
My first show at Békéscsaba Jokai Szinhaz with acclaimed Ibsen Director, Anne Helgesen. This set was built on a revolve with two locations. At first the opulent home of Werle with corridor and dining room set within a black void, then in a choreographed scene change the steeply raked floor of Hialmars flat and attelier trucks in from upstage with other walls flying out and the reverse of the Werle library becoming the side wall and entrance point of Hialmars flat. The costumes were designed in muted colours with the emphasis on the types of fabrics used with some mismatching of blacks to emphasise a characters lacklustre appearance.
