Hyperion Chemical Sensor

NOTE: The lack of part drawings, details, and additional photos is due to the project's proprietary nature.

During my placement as an intern at Hyperion, my main project was to construct a handheld, male sensor platform that would be inserted into a previously designed female connector. This female connector was a sensor designed to detect pressure and chemical composition changes of military-grade fire extinguishers that may have been tampered with by insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The constraints of the male sensor platform established by the U.S. Navy required that it be made of lightweight Delrin polymer, hand-held, quick to use, and connectable to a laptop for easy digital readouts.
