Paper Model - This is a paper model for a tubular lamp base. The shape is inspired by a idle habit I have of rolling paper, eg. receipts, into a tube, and then introducing two bend into the tube. I've been doing this for several years. I envision the tube to have a mottled chrome finish. The tube would reflect light at oblique angles.

Notes - These are my notes on the paper model. The main insight from the paper model was the need to add weights at point's B & C to provide stability. Point A is weighed down by the vertical tube and the lamp fixture.

Possible Lamp Shade - This is NOT MY WORK. This lamp belongs to wood turning master Billy Hall - http://www.glowingwoodsculptures.com
When thinking about possible materials for the lamp shade, this is something I considered.
Another material I've always liked the quality of is the Milky glass of Jasper Morrison's Glo-Ball produced by Flos.
