The bag can store about 10 records. The record jacket can be on display at the bag during playing its record. He can use this one as an temporary receiver which helps him to organize the record that he wants to play next. To commute by bicycle, the protection frame to absorb impacts is equipped.

To design this bag, I interviewed my friend to identify his interests, wants, needs, attitudes, outlook on life, etc. Then, it was discovered that he is a DJ after work. He generally rides a bicycle. His favorite hobby is to collect vinyl records. From these discovers, I focused on the opportunity to accompany his DJ activity, for instance, buying records at a record shops, riding bicycle with records, looking at favorite record jackets. From this, I found the concepts for design. As well as carrying the records safely, he can display the records on the bag while he plays a DJ.

From the concepts, I made some 1:1 models, and validated those with my friend.

As a result of validation, I found four needs from him below. The bag needed to store about only 10 records, not needed to store many, because he would carry most of the records using other bag. He would like to use this bag to carry his favorite or latest records. When using this bag on DJ booth, he would like to use it as a display stand for a record jacket to show customers during playing its record. And he would like to use this one as an temporary receiver which helps him to organize the record that he wants to play next. The bag should be suitable riding bicycle. From these needs, I was going on work to finish making sketch and models time and again.

I actually validated the bag that was final sketch model in their DJ booth.
