Planmed Clarity S (Imaging system)
How to create a significantly cheaper screening-focused alternative of the Clarity mammography system? For example, the touchscreens were removed and touch UI was modified to run on the acquisition workstation. The functionality required at the device was moved to the base display and operated with foot pedals. The users have praised the simplicity of the system that was launched in 2018 and has been continuously improved ever since.
Clarity S was developed by an in-house product development team. I was in charge of the concept development phase, and I did the industrial and UI design in the product development phase. I also managed the usability process for the regulatory approvals.
