Gateway (door knob concept) for hospitals and office use
Inspired from “Open the Damn door”, designed for people with weaker arms and/or poor night vision, the Gateway is a door knob with cone-shaped interior so as to allow users to be able to guide their key more effectively to the correct hole.
Tritium illumination strips are used to aid the users open the door under dark environment. This illumination technique is similar to the application on rifles’ iron sight. The key teeth insert is designed in a two-way symmetrical manner, so user will not need to worry which face is the correct key side to unlock. Primarily used for offices, senior citizen centres and hospitals.
