ISO view of the handle with plug and strain relief installed. The body and a tri-lobe feature that plays into the company's triangular "switch" logo. The handle is die cast using a typical two section mold with a core pin. Extreme care and attention was done on the design side to ensure no extra cost side action or unnecessary mold features were required. The parting line sides along the tangent of two of the 3 corners with the company name on the top half, and the company logo on the bottom.
The body of the plug is sleek but still has defining character that can be seen and felt. The rear of the body tapers down straight into the strain relief. The lines match perfectly; same with the front of the plug handle where the plug bushing meets the handle. The handle meets the plug bushing exactly and the lines are a continuation of each other. The the curved surfaces that make up the triangular profile are actually cuts into a larger round body. Internally the plug is still completely round and works with existing plugs and subassemblies.
In this view you can see the company logo on the cut surface. Opposite of this is the company name in the company font along the tangent of the corner. This way no matter what side at any angle the company is being identified. The design is also ergonomic and very functional. The ribs in the strain relief are proportional to the part and completely functional.
