Hall of Cubist Bulls
Melding traditional cave paintings and Pablo Picasso's bull drawings, this piece intends to call to mind the colors--sapphire, cyan, rust--of many of Picasso's works while an inverted soot painting of a human brain invokes the ancient cave paintings. The piece comments on the enigma of the origin of thought and asks which came first: expression or conscious thought.
