Social Responsible Design - These are all my projects leading to my Final year Professional Project. The course I study is a combination of two traditionally separate fields each with its own strength: engineering with its scientific material and manufacturing knowledge and industrial design with its human centred approach to design. They have been brought together to produce a new breed of graduates who will be able to design and develop competitive products from concept to engineering validation and manufacture.

Target Market Design - This Hair Dryer was designed to target the female market. The rotational head was incorporated to promote flexibility and it's small size makes the hair dryer easily mobile
Target Market Project
Advanced Technology - Using advanced technology such as eye movement recognition and 3D visual technology, my partners and I designed a Sports goggle that assists the user when competing by informing them of obstacles and feeding them information that may be crucial to winning the race!
FEA Analysis. General Technical Engineering Practices were performed to test strength in materials and joins etc.
Tap Design Competition. Entered Reece Design Tapware Competition to design an innovative tap assembly
Tap Design Competition
Reverse Engineering. Dissembling a stapler and Modelling it in Solid works was a useful exercise to see if we could replicate the existing stapler
Reverse Engineering - We used mold flow analysis to determine what materials can be used and how the stapler was manufactured
Cardboard Design Comp - Being creative with a "strong version" of cardboard to use as furniture.
Cardboard Design Comp
Innovation and Improvement - improving an existing Smith machine to assist in spotting a weight lifter in case the weight is to heavy by reeling up the weights via motors attached
Innovation and Improvement
Global Collaboration - being able to complete a design project working with students from Britain. Communication was made through online tools only
Constraints Exercise - designing a Vending machine that had to hold 150 cans and be able to be dispensed using only 1 motor and a particular battery
Constraints Exercise

Pendant Design(Work Experience) - working for a jewellery designer was a great experience, This particular piece was for a client that wanted to design a pendant for a gift to her husband on their 25th wedding anniversary
Sustainable Design - Designed a bottle with a secondary use... A coat hanger!...
Sustainable Design
Renewable Energy - a portable torch that uses rotational magnets to produce electricity (dynamo)
Renewable Energy
Group Project - Designed a light rail vehicle for the year 2020. Driver less technology, to be implemented into outer suburbs, reducing the need for cars in that area for transport. Hence encouraging these suburbs to become satellite cities
