Algebra Calculator - In this Master level thesis project, the goal was to design an unintimidating, desirable and easy-to-learn calculator that students and teachers can confidently use to learn and teach Algebra I. Contextual inquiries were conducted in Algebra I classrooms, interviews with students and teachers were performed, and a thorough investigation of the Algebra I curriculum was done to fully understand how a calculator could fit seamlessly into this context.

Flip Chair - The Flip Chair was designed as a possible new product for the Children's Furniture Company. Intended for children ages 5-10, this bent plywood chair can rest in four orientations and acts as a chair, a slide, a wall, a canopy, or anything else a child can imagine it to be. The design is stackable, and when multiple chairs are side by side they form a semicircle which could be useful for reading groups, or fun to create play environments with.
Bent Ply Chair - Made with poplar and walnut veneers, both the seat and back of the chair were vacuum bagged over the same mold. The seat and back pieces are connected through a set of six double female rubber bumpers. These bumpers give the seat back some give as the user reclines.
