Financial Centre

F a ç a d e C o n c e p t s

The Financial Centre is a high-rise office building located in the centre of Sofia, on the top of Lozenets Hill. It has 34 above ground levels reaching the height of over 122 meters and accommodates a conference centre, retail and F&B, panoramic open space offices with winter gardens offering incredible views to the city centre and Vitosha Mountain and a helicopter platform on the roof.

The rounding of the corners and the protrusion of the façades give a streamlined effect of the tall body of the building - prevention against the turbulent wind flows. The double-skin façade, equipped with controlled openings for ventilation and incorporated shading elements, ensures a sound and heat protection, natural ventilation and natural light penetration. The air circulation between the two façade layers reduces the sun heat during the summer and allows a return of energy from the exhausted air during the winter - all resulting in low energy consummation.
