A brief overview of my work in Cairo, Egypt from 2008 to early 2010. Partnered with Natalie Forcier and Cynthia Okerfelt, we worked together to create a violence reduction program for Sudanese refugee gangs in Egypt.
I specifically designed and managed a hip hop project, structured from ethnographic research and service design methods, as a means for conflict reconciliation. Hip hop became a catalyst for personal transformation that worked alongside other programming to create a holistic approach to root causes of violence.
