Mahagonny- Graphic Elements
Set Design for Mahagonny, a play by Bertolt Brecht.
Antiheroes Project presents:
MAHAGONNY, a contemporary physical theater piece based on the libretto for opera of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, originally written by Berthold Brecht in 1930.
The piece has been adapted for the Miami audience and during the rehearsals has become a lab for actors and dancers. Movement, images, music and projections talk about the reality of any modern city, the economic crisis, the dreams of generations and their struggle to succeed. Everything happens around a love story between Jenny, a prostitute, and Jim, an artist. Both trapped in Mahagonny, both trying to escape. Let’s go, to Benares let’s go! Who leaves Mahagonny, who stays there? Mahagonny, a place where money matters
