Vibrating pry-bar - This would vibrate quickly to remove wood surrounding the nail and then extract the nail with the pry-bar.
The rounder - The specially designed drill would be centered over the nail and drill it out.
The claw - The claw opens as it is driven at the nail. The claw then closes around the shaft of the nail and extracts it.
The nail expander - Driven into nail and then burrs are extended to grab the nail and put it out.

Engineering 160 Project: Nail Remover

This was a group project for my Engineering 170 class. We choose to come up with concepts for removing nails that had been mistakenly driven by a pneumatic nail gun. All the ideas would also be powered by compress air.

I led the group through all the stages of the design process, leading discussion topics and brainstorming sessions. I also did a significant amount of the CAD modeling using SolidWorks.
