UM Project is a couture furniture design studio. UM Project’s pieces are “inspired by
old-world ateliers and fully embrace the digital world.” The company produces beautiful custom designs, as well as collections for Calvin Klein Home, among others. They are elegant, innovative, and frankly downright artistic.
I worked closely with François Chambard, the RISD-educated owner and designer of UM Project, to develop this website. It was a terrific learning experience. I now appreciate furniture design on a whole new level.
François also gave me my (now dog-eared) copy of Kimberly Elam’s Grid Systems: Principles of Organizing Type, for which I am eternally grateful.
