Contemporising the Traditional Art
This is the Terracotta pottery from Ramgarh ( Rajasthan, India). The main purpose to do this project was to learn how to contemporize the traditional products of a particular craft.
Traditionally pots, containers and decorative pieces are made in Ramgrah
What I did new :
Plates: Specialty of Ramgarh terracotta is that it's very cool. Anything kept in these plates gets automatically cooled down
Table: This table is works as a natural air conditioner. It has holes within it in which water can be filled up due to heat water evaporates and it cool downs the atmosphere. Traditional cut work is used, so it can work as lighting product as well.
Stools: These stools can bear up to 200 kg of weight and when of no use can work as natural coolers. It is divided into two parts where the upper part can be converted and filled up with water to let it evaporate and cool down the atmosphere.
P.s : All the products are made on Pottery Wheel.
