Rust-Oleum Haven Conference 2013
In a show geared towards highly creative bloggers and DIYers, Rust-Oleum needed to display over 70 colors of their 2X brand of paint colors. The Haven Conference is very much a lifestyle show, and I wanted the brand to appeal to the young crowd of homeowners, so I opted to showcase the individual colors on found objects like vases, candle holders, sculptures, etc. The objects were displayed on an IKEA book shelf that was painted Rust-Oleum Gloss Navy, the glass shelves were transformed into a mercury glass finish using Rust-Oleum's new Mirror Finish paint (which is amazing!) and a technique using a spray bottle filled with a vinegar and water solution. Each painted object came with a small hand letter pressed card with the color name for easy identification.
Small side table tops were painted with a two-tone lattice stencil and used to display more information on the company and its products.
