By looking at the forefather of the trivet, a simple board, we have chosen wood as the main material. It is gentle to table surfaces and still works with classic materials. To solve the problem of easy storing in the drawer and with focus on the need of different sizes for various amounts of kitchen supplies on the table, we have cut the board in six sticks and rejoined them with a leather cord. To keep the different sizes while spread out on the table, a small elegant metal closure was added. A little extra: The wood is cut out of old german wine barrels which add a special aroma.
