Architecture For Humanity HIV/AIDS Clinic - This board was entered into the Architecture for Humanity HIV/AIDS Clinic competition. It was done as a group collaboration with 4 other students. I was responsible for the graphic layout/design of the board. This board was chosen to be on display in the Architecture for Humanity NYC headquarters.
Architecture for Humanity board process - This image represents the board design idea sketched out before it was finalized. The sketch was completed about 6 weeks before the final board was submitted to the Architecture for Humanity competition.
Portable Physical Therapist New Venture Opportunity Contest proposal - I wrote this business proposal for the RPI Incubator Center's New Venture Opportunity Contest in the fall of 2003. This was one of five to be selected (out of 34) as a WINNING proposal. A provisional patent has been obtained for our design, and we are awaiting a full design patent (pending review of the US Patent and Trademark Office).
Frisbee Launcher for Introduction to Engineering Design - (spring 2002) Within our team of 5 students, I was responsible for the automatic targeting system and creating our team website. The website can be found at <http://www.rpi.edu/~stover/IED%20website/ied.html> Macromedia Dreamweaver was used for website construction. The auto-target system used a drill, with a bolt that was threaded through a nut on the launcher. A lazy-suzan allowed the entire launcher to rotate smoothly on its base.
Picture Frame for Alzheimer's Patients - This is an image from our team's presentation in the spring of 2002. Our final project was conceived by me, at the beginning of the semester. It evolved into an interactive picture frame, employing the use of still images, video clips, and sound images used as an "external memory bank" for a stage-1 Alzheimer's patient who is beginning to lose their memory.
