Chouinard Ice Tool Display
The Story of this Project includes a great friend of mine. He grew up down the street from The Tin Shed and his dad taught him how to climb. My friend lost his father to cancer and of all the things left for him he only wanted his father's old Chouinard carabeaners. They were no where to be found. I searched for some, without success, and came across this ice tool. While it was not meant to replace his memories, I thought it would help keep them alive. Recently we climbed the Via Ferrata in BC and the route hardware gave me an idea on how to mount the ice tool to a display backing made from old aluminum. After opening the gift, it was swiftly mounted on the wall.
