Washington State Apples - Apple Tray Protective Foam Packaging
One of 8 different trays, custom designed, according to apple size.
Design requirements include reducing apple damage in transit, roller burn and bruising. The trays configuration and design layout play a critical role in case pack out.
Transportation simulations and failure analysis testing resulted in a 30 percent improvement over the existing competitors packaging.
As project manager and designer, I was responsible for the entire project from design, engineering, testing, tooling design and production tool first run validation.
