Client's backyard space existed as uncovered storage for firewood and lawn mowing equipment. Interested in reimagining its use, I suggested redeveloping this into an outdoor entertainment space and move an unused built-in cocktail bar from his basement into this area. I constructed the framework for privacy walls and attached corrugated metal siding to create a hip urbane type bar environment. Fiberglass panels were installed for roofing and track lighting added to accent the vintage beer signage that was sourced and hung as a focal point. Carport space was included to allow for a vintage car to be parked facilitated by a hinged back wall that lifted up for access. Bright color theme was selected to carry over signage graphics and make for a happy and entertaining environment. This space functioned effectively for small dinner gatherings as well as hosting weekend parties of twenty or more people.
Alley access to garage and carport/entertainment space. Planter box and garden along the base of the fence were built to create a more complete landscaped alley environment.
