CordOrder - I co-invented Cord-Order and Cord Manager to eliminate the problem of tangled cords behind computers and entertainment systems. The product is a simple plastic bracket that contains foam in the middle. The foam allows for a variety of cord sizes and shapes to be held at once in order to keep them tangle free. I developed the product from conception to production including researching, marketing, branding, modeling and rendering. I currently hold 4 United States Design Patents regarding Cord-Order and Cord Manager: D486,385 – D484, 033 – D484, 034 – D484,035
Kenwood URC/UEI - This is the first remote to be produced from UEI using a circular numeric keypad encompassing a navigation island, which allows for a smaller remote, a more ergonomic feel, and improved ease of use. Additional design features include an intuitive key layout, soft flowing back housing with an egg-like base and grooves for added grip and comfort. Kenwood was so impressed by this design there have been five other variations that have been included in various consumer electronics sold throughout Europe and the United States.
CAD Design - A school design project required the design of a toy for children under the age of 2. My toy design focused on bright colors, exaggerated proportions and a cartoonish feel. The result is a set of three cartoonish, playful monkeys called Monkers. The three Monkers each have three different expressions and colors which can be stacked by the children. The project was modeled and rendered in Rhinoceros.
UEI/Radio Shack Kameleon - This is the first version of UEI’s Kameleon technology to be sold in the US market, showcasing a dynamic electro-luminescent display. This technology acts similarly to an LCD remote yet it is only half the cost. Features include a user-friendly layout, keys that only light up when they can be used and an incredible “Wow Factor.” I was responsible for the graphic layout of the interface design. The remote was sold in all Radio Shack stores throughout the United States and Canada.
