Graduate Thesis: Full Project - Thesis title: "Pro Bono Publico"- A study on design ethics not just in business practice, but in using design to help people to make better choices that would benefit society as a whole. Pictured is a group shot of all the components of my thesis; the book and the game that teaches the lesson of the book (playing cards, card box, game board, game rulebook, scoresheet).

Deadly Sins Cards (from powerpoint presentation) - Thesis title: "Pro Bono Publico"- A study on design ethics not just in business practice, but in using design to help people to make better choices that would benefit society as a whole. In addition to the written book, I designed a card game that could be used to teach student designers how to bring ethics into their practice. Pictured here are the "Sins" Cards: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride- with interpretations on how each theme applies to a designer's practice.
Virtues Cards (from powerpoint presentation) - The pairing matches to the "sins" cards, used in the game to teach student designers how to bring ethics into their practice. Pictured here are the "Virtues" Cards: Chastity, Patience, Humility, Temperance, Diligence, Charity, and Kindness- with interpretations on how each theme applies to a designer's practice.
The Card Game (from Powerpoint presentation) - Thesis title: "Pro Bono Publico"- A study on design ethics not just in business practice, but in using design to help people to make better choices that would benefit society as a whole. In addition to the written book, I designed a card game that could be used to teach student designers how to bring ethics into their practice. Pictured here is the end of the game, where the cards are flipped over to reveal the pairings/choices made by the players.
