Sea Otter and Greefinch Designs - The Sea Otter was designed using pencil linework with a rendered overlay. I usually use this method when I need new-custom fabrics or the design is a completely new animal/pattern for the maker. I will also use this design style when I need a lot more detail in the finnished product.
The second method is a digital file, mostly using Photoshop or Illustrator. I typically use this with makers that I have already worked with. I can easily send them the digital file for faster turn arounds.
