This San Diego Teamsters' Local 542 mural is in the downstairs meeting hall for the retirees of Local 683, Local 542, Local 36 and Local 481. The mural's design is organized into the four Locals' area specialties and the various vendors they worked for. The unifying main Teamster logo is in the center background. Two talented artists helped me complete this detailed project: Laurie Sheahan and Ed Roxburgh. Thank you to Jaime Vasquez, Betsy Moreno and the rest of the good people of Local 542 for the honor and for making this such a pleasurable experience. Also, to both the retirees and current Local 542 staff: Your hard work and pride in what you do helped me along the way. It was very important to include the many vendor logos! A flat screen mounted into the center of the mural for continuous slide shows of photos for the retirees was a big factor in the design plan.
