background knots - developed sans foreground so it could be its own thing
final composite knot - combined fore- and background. The background simplified a bit (branches ended instead of continuing behind) to not overly complicate the foreground

Quilt - My mother in law quilted the final design as a present... I had made the offhand comment that we should do a collaboration, and she took it serious!
