Nike Air Max 2009 Shoe and Airsole
Two concepts were initially developed for the Max 2009. One was a secure fit saddle concept and the other was the introduction of Flywire. This was also where I was one of the first designers to design the actual airsole unit. The Max 360 unit had been developed by the Air engineers and it was not very good for running. I with my developer went through it with a functional fine tooth comb and built a superior performing unit. It is still in use today. It was truly the first full freefloating Airsole by Nike.
