After my internship in 2012 I decided to move to Portugal in order to discover a new culture, learn another language and have different experiences. I was travelling through the country and while living in Lisbon I joined an organisation named "ARTA" who was in charge of promoting old crafts techniques among the neiborgs of that area. I learnt from some experienced carperters, woodworkers and dressmakers. This allowed me to develope another set of skills and manage to build some wooden furniture.
The table is built with traditional craft of carpentry with strong mortise & tenon joints giving it inherent strength.Frame and table top are made out of pine.Believing in clean design this little table was designed to mantain its natural color applying a natural transparent varnish and sanding it up to 4 times preserving the inherent defects of the wood that gives its unique and genuine personality .
