The Kelchner client was great to work with. An open-minded and positive client who hands me the creative freedom and trust to approach each aspect of a project in a unique style is like a dream come true for me. I kept a consistent format across the bottom of each poster to link them together in viewers’ minds, but all other elements of each poster, from typography to colors to imagery, were unique from each other. This way, if they were all next to each other on a bulletin board, you would want to keep reading from one poster to the next, but you could be sure that all of the activities were under one roof. For this poster, I decided to play up the group nature of the activity, giving it a ’50s print-ad style and making it inviting by virtue of not being intimidating.
