This style builds upon the previous one and adds a semi-transparent sidebar on the back.
This style blends two copies of the title that fade into each other, and places the title within the scene.
This set places different vehicles on the same backdrop and uses the title to grab the viewer’s eye, and also has a different layout for the information on the back cover.
This style is a cleaner, flatter revision of the style used for the previous year.
This style combines the best elements of the other styles, and its sense of energy makes it my favorite of the set.

Covers: Accessories Catalog

In my time working for an auto parts reseller, I developed several different styles of covers for the monthly accessories catalog. Within each style, I then developed a unique cover for each brand that received its own catalog. This particular style is my favorite. It combines a dynamic title effect with the appearance of the text existing within the space of the scene, partially behind the vehicle in action, while remaining legible at a glance. I gathered dynamic action shots from a number of internal resources and used different images for different styles of covers. In most cases, the front cover image was echoed on the back cover, but in a way that suggested the action was around the corner. The blank area at the bottom of each cover is reserved for use by the store that would carry the catalog.

With each style implemented for each brand’s catalog, I had a cohesive set ready no matter which style was chosen.
