This project was to design fixtures and a reception area for the prestigious Chautauqua Institution in western New York. The goal was to draw upon the Institution's deep history and iconic architecture to create a new visitor center for incoming guests and potential members.
Utilizing elements from the famous Athenaeum Hotel, established 1881, along with moden, mobile presentation ancillary pieces, this design brings new technology and artifact presentation ideas to attract new generations to Chautauqua's rich heritage of learning, arts, and intellectual discourse.
The ffixtures incorporate sound and video content while remaining easy-to-refresh or update presentation materials for the staff to maintain.
