MAPLE AND ACRYLIC SIDE TABLE

Two bends on each acrylic face give this table strength and stability which is reinforced by solid maple ends.

Ideation
The idea of being able to fold a single flat square of material into a table sparked this fundamental form. Not only were the bends driving the design, but they also give the table structure and stability due to the inherent strength in folds, which in this case, transfer the stress load inward.

Features
With multiples of two different parts (the acrylic face and the maple end) this table is efficient to mass-produce and easy to assemble as the parts have no proper orientation or fasteners of any kind. It flat packs for more work space and when in use, it can store essential items such as a sleeping mat and clothes.
